I often go to the Kickapoo Casino In Eagle Pass Texas atleast four times a year. There are plenty of non-smoking entertainment establishments that you'd enjoy more. As far as smoking, I didn't think the casino was all that smoky, but if you're a non-smoker who is intolerant of smoke, don't make the trip. But I will go back for a 2-day trip mid-week when I'm up for going! The lack of free drinks didn't bother me because I don't drink, and I liked that I could fill up my travel mug myself with soda instead of waiting for a waitress. I wouldn't go on a weekend, ever.,because I HATE crowds (I don't go to Vegas on the weekend either :). I went on a Sunday, and I thought it was too crowded for me. Comparing the slot 'payout' to Vegas, I'd say it's BETTER! I got more play for my money than any casino I've ever played in Vegas. They don't have table games (blackjack or craps or roulette) but I had fun anyway. I actually had a lot of fun in the casino. As background, I'm a Vegas junkie and I've lived in San Antonio for over 17 years and never visited Lucky Eagle.so this was my first time. Next time I go I will stay at one of the 'budget' hotels in Eagle Pass as I found driving both ways in one day too much for me.
it's a 3 hour drive if you live in North San Antonio.
